Erosion is when something breaks down after years of decay. It could have been caused by ice, water, wind and other elements. Erosion can cause a lot of damage to animals and people.
Effects of Erosion
You can’t always predict if erosion is going to happen. It’s like you don’t know if it will be sunny or rainy today. Erosion can be like a little piece of rock breaking down by the wind, water or people stepping on the rocks. This crumbles the rocks down into tiny little pieces. The small little pieces of rock get moved away to different places. It could be near where it was broken down or far away, like in a different country or state.
Where erosion is found
Erosion can be anywhere in the world. I bet you could find erosion if you went outside to go on a little walk. Erosion can be fast or slow. It depends on whether the element is hard or soft.
Erosion in school
My school has many erosion patches from the kids playing on the oval. The kids dig up the dirt that causes the erosion patches to form.
